First of all, although Conference Bike is a fixed term for this type of bike by the inventor Mr Eric Staller and the producer Velo Saliko. This term is not in everybody’s knowledge, so these bikes are referred to as: TeamBike, CoBi (abbreviation of ConferenceBike), FunBike, PartyBike, BusinessBike, FamilyBike, EventBike, Carousel Bike, C-Bike, multi person bicycle, round seated bike, circular shaped bike, Discussion Bike and so on... Anyway, we provide these types of bike for you in Berlin.
What is a Conference Bike?
It's a round shaped bicycle which looks like a three wheeler (actually a Conference Bike has for wheels, the back wheels are just located very near to each other) where seven people are sitting in a circle around a little conference table in the middle of the bike. Everybody can feel free to cycle as the CoBi has free flow and one of the persons steps in the role of the pilot or driver as he has the control over steering and breaking. The C-Bike has two breaks, one front and one back. One is hydraulic, the other one mechanic, so that the bike can be brought into a fixed position very quick, also with heavy load. How does a Team Bike ride work?
Everybody contributes to the riding power of the bike and the pilot steers and breaks. The seats are arranged like a star so that everybody can face the others. That brings a lot of communication and fun during the ride. How many people are able to participate in a Group Bike ride?
The bike has 7 seats including a pilot seat. The seats do not necessarily have to be all occupied. That means you can go with three or four people easily as well as the Group Bike has a light working transmission designed for sightseeing and fun drive reasons (the producer offers a choice of different transmissions from light to more heavy).
What weight does the Bike have?
It weights approximately 225 kilos without load, but because of its special construction it’s not difficult to move.
What measurements does a CoBi have?
Length: 2,5m x Width: 1,8m x Height: 1,4m.
How fast can a Team Bike go?
A 7 person Conference Team Bike is designed for sightseeing. To go on a fun ride means to take it a bit more serious with the speed. In the case everybody really wants to know it a speed between 25 km per hour and 30 km per hour is possible. To be honest, with a responsible driver, and we take care about that, this can be incredibly great fun.
What age does one have to be to take part in a great Conference Bike trip?
We want the pilot to be eighteen years of age. As long as the other riders are able to reach the pedals or at least hold on tight at the conference table frame in the middle of the Team Bike. If this is the case, the very entertaining Team Bike Berlin sightseeing tour could start.
Is it possible to take a night ride on Conference Bike?
